Austin, Texas based duo Albert and Gage (Christine Albert and Chris Gage) have a personal and musical chemistry that radiates from the stage. The joy
they experience making music together is evident as they travel through their musical roots moving from country, rock, swing and folk to blues and
French chansons. The integrity of their musicianship and the rare blend of their voices create a unique and cohesive sound.
Chris Gage, who spent 8 years playing piano with superstar Roy Clark, is a master of the guitar, piano and accordion, effortlessly switching instruments throughout their set to follow the mood of the music. Christine Albert has been described as a "wondrous singer with a beautiful focus and unrestrained grace", and had a prolific recording career as a solo artist before meeting Gage. Since teaming up in 1996 they have released five albums on their own MoonHouse Records, received substantial airplay in the Folk and Americana formats and toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe, both on their own and with Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Slaid Cleaves.
Christine Albert began her music career in Santa Fe, until moving to Austin in 1982. Her early years were spent playing with local luminaries such as
Busy McCarroll and Eliza Gilkyson, as a member of local bands Ozone Express, Crowsfeet, and Turquoise Trail Band.
